In the Senate, I’ve worked very hard to make our schools a top priority. As a graduate of the public school system, I know firsthand that the students of today are the doctors, engineers, business owners, and educators of tomorrow.

I’m very honored to receive the PSEA Adler Friend of Education Award and was proud to take part in a video they produced, which you can watch above.

Last night, we passed a state budget which continues to fund our schools at the current levels. We are also sending an additional $150 million from the CARES Act for Pennsylvania schools to purchase additional safety items and personal protective equipment they will need to prepare for classes in the fall.

I’m going to keep making our schools and our students a top priority in the Senate, and I appreciate your continued support.

Thanks.
